Shanghai Electric independently developed the world's leading double-water internal cooling generator which has completely independent intellectual property rights. Stator coils and rotor coils of double-water internal cooling generator are cooled by water while stator cores are cooled by air. Through 50 years of continuous development and innovation, our company produces a series of double-water internal cooling generators which cover 60MW~660MW generator. And these products can meet the needs of different users.

Double-water internal cooling generator does not have to fill or discharge hydrogen, which can meet the need of power plant without hydrogen. In addition, installation, operation, maintenance and repair are easy for us. One-time investment and operating costs of power plant are less. Turn - to - turn insulation structure which is made by using seamless stitching technology is applied to rotor, effectively preventing the short circuit of rotor. The life of insulation structure is long because temperature of rotor coil is low. Machine base does not need to use explosion protection design and the weight of units is light.

Double-water internal cooling generator of Shanghai Electric is an innovation product, which reaches the world leading level. Our company developed the world's first 12MW double-water internal cooling generator in 1958. And the first 125 MW double-water internal cooling turbine generator in China was manufactured successfully by Shanghai Electric in 1969. In 1974 our company developed the first domestic 300MW double-water internal cooling generator. Now our company develops the world's first 660MW double-water internal cooling generator. Contracts have been signed for 580 double-water internal cooling generators, including 132 units of 300 ~ 350MW class generators and 7 units of 660MW class generators.
